Monitored Living Systems

Solutions for Those Living Alone

At HTCare, we provide simple, unobtrusive solutions that aid caregivers, and assist seniors with aging in place.

Typically, seniors wish to remain in their homes as long as possible.  HTCare can help by creating an interim phase we call "Monitored Living".

Imagine a system that unobtrusively monitors your loved one's Activities of Daily Living, then, based on rules you have established, alerts you to any worrisome deviations.  Many of our clients receive an alert if:

  • Mom gets out of bed hours later than normal
  • the restroom is used excessively or less than normal
  • medications aren’t taken during the day
  • there is wandering around the house at odd hours
  • meals are being missed
  • other deviations occur from your loved one's normal routine

In addition, this information is logged and graphed so that trends can easily be reviewed.  Often this allows for care providers to intervene proactively rather than reactively.  Text and email alerts automatically notify caregivers of troublesome deviations.

At-home blood pressure test, weight scale readings, blood glucose test, and blood oxygen absorption results can be invisibly and automatically recorded and graphed, allowing family members and medical professionals to view trends and respond accordingly.  This data can even be emailed to your physician.

But it’s about much more than just safety.  Our systems also address the loneliness and social isolation that so often accompany living alone.  HTCare allows seniors to easily enjoy email communication with their loved ones and share digital photographs.  The system also provides numerous cognitive exercises and games to help keep your loved one’s mind sharp.

Watch the videos at the bottom of this page to see how HTCare can improve the lives of loved ones and their cargivers.  Afterwards, please call Rick at HTCare for a no-obligation review of your needs.

Below are pages of interest to specific members of the "Care Triangle" (the loved one, his or her family members, and the professional caregivers).

Click here for a few screenshots from the webpage the caring relatives log into to view data. There is far more data available, and we will add more screenshots soon. We also plan on adding screenshots of the touchscreen that can be placed in the loved one's home.
